Feeling fancy? Try a Hotel!With the new location on South Congress, you might consider staying south of the river this year. There are lots of close options, but since we're practically downtown, they're generally on the pricey side. First, you should take a look at the Austin Motel which is one block away from the fest. This is a notorious Austin landmark with its big phallic neon sign. Relatively speaking, it's reasonably priced with single beds start at around $85 per night (including tax). Each room is completely unique with loads of character (unlike any chain you'll find). You can browse a picture of each room on their website and request the one you want. Hotel San Jose and Hotel Saint Cecelia are also easy walking distance, but these are ridiculously expensive. (I'm sure they're quite nice.) There's also Embassy Suites a few blocks down, and then a whole slew of corporate options across the river in downtown.
